Warrior Family Support Center
On Thursday March 8th WFSC BAMC, the Honorable Dr. Joseph W, Westphal, Under Secretary of the Army, was on hand to present 4 Afghanistan wounded warriors their Purple Heart Medals.
The host of the ceremony was Major General M.Ted Wong Commanding General Brook Army Medical Center (BAMC) who extended gratitude to these heroes for their sacrifice and actions at the battle front.
Alamo Chapter 1836 Officers and Patriots were present along with the families of the Purple Heart recipients and to show support and appreciation to the soldiers.
Purple Heart Recipients:
* PFC Cody A. Nusbaum, Company C, 2nd Battalion, 87th Infantry, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division. Wounded 24 Aug 2011.
* SGT Brandon L. Tucker, Combat Medic, Headquarters and Headquarters Troop, 5th Squadron, 7th Cavalry, 3rd Infantry Division. WIA 16 No 2010.
* SPC Benjamin P. Bozworth, Company A, 1st Battalion, 179th Infantry Regiment, Oklahoma National Guard. Wounded In Action 22 Jan 2012.
